WebOct 13, 2012 · Using someone's help.....watch the auger belt and pulley while the auger handle is squeezed and you should see the belt tighten up. That's the clutch mechanism for the auger. You should have a threaded adjustment at the base of the auger engage rod (below handle). It will have 2 nuts for locking purposes.
