WebSep 16, 2013 · When I started it back up to leave for the gas station, the gas gauge read just over 3/8 of a tank, and the gas light was off. At the gas pump, the nozzle turned off at 6.9 gallons. I didn't notice any weird behavior the rest of the weekend. Has anyone else noticed something like this? -- Sarah -- WebOct 20, 2010 · The only thing I have noticed is that say after a long drive i.e. around 50 miles and then turn off the engine, the 2 gauges will go back to their normal resting places and stay there for around 3 minutes before springing up to the half way position again and stay there until the next time the engine is turned on.
